The building umbrella policy coverage, as we understand it, will build back the facility to its original specifications so long as they meet current code requirements. Once the building is built, the owner will be given a pre-determined amount to go into your space and fill it in with cabinets, flooring, appliances, bathrooms etc. This amount is likely far less than what the actual cost will be (because they will use the original spec of construction meaning possibly pricing for older style products such as laminate countertops, carpet flooring and pre fab showers for example.
The owner should carry an HO6 policy to cover this gap should there be a loss.

Q: What are the capital reserves used for at the Ocean Club Villas complex?
